Winter, blankets your soul
Winter, black as your soul

All of your blood red flags, warning signs covered
They were obscured out of sight
The bitter warmth of the sun (now) melting your callous walls and revealing your spite.

Worthless melting snow
Water scours the land
Revelation far too late
Exposing death and dirt
And as the sun thaws, divulged are your true colours
Acres of sodden, infertile ground
A bloated cancerous form

The naive victims you trapped
